What Happens in a Taster Lesson?
A taster lesson is designed to take the anxiety out of getting behind the wheel for the first time. Andy will collect you from your home or another convenient location and, from the moment you get in the car, he will explain everything clearly and without rushing.
There is no expectation to be brilliant — you are simply exploring whether driving with Andy feels right for you. Most people leave their taster lesson feeling far more capable than they ever expected.

He will pick you up from a convenient location and introduce himself before you even touch the steering wheel.
Controls and cockpit drill
Andy walks you through the car controls, mirrors, and the DSSSM cockpit drill so you feel confident and orientated before moving off.
Your first drive
In a calm, quiet area Andy guides you through moving the car, clutch control, smooth steering, and stopping safely.
Feedback and next steps
Andy gives honest, constructive feedback and — if you would like to continue — suggests a personalised lesson plan to get you to test standard.
