The Most Flexible Way to Learn
Life does not always follow a fixed schedule — and your driving lessons do not have to either. Pay-as-you-go lessons with Dixon Driving give you the freedom to book at a pace that works for you, with no need to commit to a course upfront.
Whether you want weekly lessons, fortnightly sessions, or just the occasional top-up when you can fit one in, Andy works around your availability. You simply book each lesson individually as and when you need it.
What Is Included in Every Lesson
- Structured tuition from a DVSA-registered Approved Driving Instructor
- A modern, well-maintained dual-controlled car
- A progress review and honest feedback at the end of each session
- Flexible pick-up from your home, workplace, or another agreed location
- Practical tips on what to practise between lessons
Who Is Pay-as-you-go Right For?
This option works best for learners who need to fit lessons around a busy or changeable schedule — such as shift workers, university students, or anyone with family commitments. It is also ideal if you are already part-way through your learning and simply need to top up your skills at your own pace.
💡 Save money with block bookings
If you find yourself booking regularly, switching to a block booking saves you money per hour. See the prices page or ask Andy about current rates when you call.
Lesson Durations Available
Lessons are available in a range of slot lengths to suit different stages of learning. Andy recommends two-hour sessions where possible — longer lessons reduce the settling-in time at the start of each session and let you make more meaningful progress.
Can I Use My Own Car?
Yes. If you would prefer to practise in a vehicle you will be using regularly after you pass, lessons in your own car can be arranged, subject to it meeting DVSA requirements. Just mention this when you get in touch and Andy will advise.
